The ordinance requires hospitals pay a uniform, non-ad valorem special assessment, set annually by resolution by the Board, on hospitals that have an ownership or leasehold interest in real property in Marion County. Due to recent changes by Congress in 2025, the ordinance needs to be amended.\\par\r\n\\par\r\n\\cf1\\f1\\par\r\n\\fs23 The assessed rate is based on the Hospital\\rquote s most recently filed Medicare Cost report, which is filed with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services.
