Kimelton)\n..Body\n\nFUNDING SOURCE:\nGeneral Fund\n\nPURPOSE:\nTo approve the City Manager Employment Contract and term of employment commencing June 24, 2023, and continuing in effect until terminated as provided in the Contract.\n\nBACKGROUND:\nJess Knudson has served as City Manager since December 30, 2017.  Upon a favorable evaluation on May 23, 2023, the City wishes to continue the employment of Jess Knudson as City Manager.  This contract and employment agreement commences on June 24, 2023, and continues in effect until terminated. \n\nCOMMUNITY IMPACT:\nThe City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and is responsible for providing the executive leadership to carry out the mission, goals and policies established by the City Council.  The City Manager advises and coordinates the implementation of policies adopted by the City Council and is responsible for providing leadership and management of the City's operations, including guidance, coordination, and planning service delivery.  The City Manager is also responsible for long-range and strategic planning and develops recommendations for new programs indicating scope, cost justification, and impact statements for consideration by City Council. \n  \nFISCAL IMPACT:\n$217,425  annually, plus benefits.
