Staff has researched the latest trends and technologies in firearms and ammunition.  With advancements in weapon and ammunition technologies, as well as reduced cost of ammunition, the Department is seeking to trade in its existing Glock 22 pistols, and purchase new Glock 9mm pistols for use as its primary duty weapon.  Officers will have the opportunity to purchase their old duty weapons, once they have been traded in.\n\nNotice of bid #19004 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 13 vendors. There was one Grand Prairie vendor available for this commodity.
