City operating funds do not generally start and fully complete for construction costs within the same fiscal year. \r\n\r\nStation 11 is one of the busiest fire stations in the country for call for service, with firefighters responding to calls along the Central Avenue corridor and surrounding neighborhoods. The demanding pace and intensity of service at high-volume stations like Station 11 make it especially important that firefighters have safe, modern, and comfortable housing conditions while on shift.\r\n\r\nFiscal Impact: $1,500,000 is being transferred from Fire Fund (210) to Capital Acquisition Fund (305) to complete the bunk room addition to Fire Station 11. The total construction cost of the project is $1,498,963.\r\n\r\nThe State Fire program had $3,069,000 in the Fire Fund for FY26, thus, there is sufficient funds for transferring $1,500,000 of those funds. In CABQ’s FY/26 Approved Budget, $3,300,000 was approved for the State Fire Fund. As listed in the FY/26 Approved Budget: “The fund is used for general operations and equipment needs of the Fire department and includes training. The State Fire Fund is also used as collateral for loans and is responsible for payments in the debt service fund.”\r\n\r\nThe scope of the Capital Acquisition Fund (305) is to rehabilitate, plan, design, construct, repair, renovate, equip, and otherwise improve Albuquerque Fire Rescue facilities. AFR is moving the $1,500,000 in funds to activity number 7415040, bringing the total up on that activity number to almost $3,800,000. Activity Number 7415040 is AFRs Facility Rehabilitation and Renovation Fund. Beyond the $1,500,000 to be used for the project, the remaining funds $2,300,000 are being used for all 30 AFR facilities rehabilitation, repair, and renovation throughout the two year G.O. Bond cycle.\r\n\r\nKey Dates: None\r\n\r\nComments: None","MatterEXText2":"Jeff Hertz","MatterEXText3":null,"MatterEXText4":null,"MatterEXText5":null,"MatterEXText6":null,"MatterEXText7":null,"MatterEXText8":null,"MatterEXText9":null,"MatterEXText10":null,"MatterEXText11":null,"MatterEXDate1":null,"MatterEXDate2":null,"MatterEXDate3":null,"MatterEXDate4":null,"MatterEXDate5":null,"MatterEXDate6":null,"MatterEXDate7":null,"MatterEXDate8":null,"MatterEXDate9":null,"MatterEXDate10":null,"MatterAgiloftId":0,"MatterReference":"27","MatterRestrictViewViaWeb":false,"MatterReports":[]}
