Currently serving as Volunteer Coordinator at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, she leads recruitment, training, and educational initiatives that enhance both volunteer and visitor experiences. Her background includes managing large-scale volunteer programs and fundraising for organizations such as Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Epilepsy Foundation, along with board service for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's New Mexico Chapter.\r\n\r\nA resident of Council District 7, Ms. Maria Adriana Sultemeier will fill a vacancy and serve as an At-Large representative on the Board; her first term will expire on April 18, 2027.\r\n\r\nBoard Description: The ABQ Volunteers Advisory Board is established through § 2-1-19 of the City Code of Ordinances. The Board's mission is to provide programs to connect volunteers and assist organizations in building capacity to enhance the quality of life in greater Albuquerque. The Board provides non-binding recommendations to the Mayor's Office regarding its ongoing and potential activities and the use of a City website that is used as its primary tool for promoting and connecting volunteers.
